What we collect
When you sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID, which we keep so we recognise you next time. Your Discord display name is used once, to suggest a username, and isn't kept. We don't request your email address, your servers or anything else from Discord.
What you give us: your username, your language, and the date you confirmed being 14 or older.
When you play while signed in: each finished play, with its score, timing judgements, mods, date, the game’s version, and a replay (the notes you played and when). We use them to verify the score, calculate Clout, and run the leaderboards.
The first time a chart is played online: the chart file and its song.ini (song name, artist, charter and timing settings), never the audio. It’s used to verify plays on that chart, and isn’t shared (song names, artists and charters appear on leaderboards and chart pages).
Usage statistics: the days you were active (signed in on the site or played online), and anonymous daily counts of plays. They show how the game is doing and help spot problems, and only the administrator sees them.
Cookies: only the ones the site needs to work (keeping you signed in, remembering your language, and protecting forms against forgery). No advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
Technical logs: like any web server, ours records IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the service secure. These logs are kept for 14 days.
We don't sell or share your information, show ads, or use outside analytics. The site loads nothing from other companies.
What other players can see
Your username, your profile, your Clout and ranks, your scores (with their date, mods and accuracy), and your replays, which can be watched in the game. Your Discord account is never shown.
Why we collect it
To give you an account, verify and rank your plays, show leaderboards, and keep the service secure and fair. Nothing else.
Where it is kept
On servers in Canada (Beauharnois, Quebec), with OVHcloud; backup copies are also kept in Canada. Signing in goes through Discord, under Discord’s own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (on your account page) erases it immediately and permanently; copies in our backups disappear as those backups are replaced, within 7 days, and if a backup is ever restored, deleted accounts are deleted again.
Your scores are kept as long as your account exists. Full replays are kept for your best score on each chart, and for 30 days for everything else; after that, only the score remains.
Your rights, and deleting your account
You can see your information on your account page and your profile, correct it (your username and language), and delete your account at any time, which deletes your scores and replays too. For anything else about your personal information, contact the person responsible below.
Who is responsible for your information
The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Aaron Lampole, reachable at privacy@synkrift.com.
